Even as a child I enjoyed art and music in many forms. As long as I can remember it was important to me to make the world a more beautiful place. As a young girl I played with my dolls and my mom would laugh at me because rather than playing house or with makeup, I was giving facials. The makeup part came later though.
For much of my life my creative outlet was found in painting or playing the piano. I discovered later my true passion was being an aesthetician. So back to school I went. For me the courage to leave a solid career in business management came as a result of my personal battle with cancer and the incredible support of my husband Ben. I was originally diagnosed with breast cancer in 1994 then had a recurrence in 2001. I was then diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma in 2012 and I am still fighting today. I consider myself very fortunate to be able to say I've been fighting cancer for 20+ years and have an amazing life. I am humbled that I have the opportunity to do what I love and create a business that is thriving. I am so honored to have clients that are or have been fighting this disease. I am highly selective in the products I use in all my services. They have to be safe for myself and clients who are struggling with many types of medical conditions. I take this trust placed in me very seriously and research every ingredient and product thoroughly before offering it in my services.
I found my love for lash extensions as a result of losing my hair and eyelashes during chemotherapy. From the first set of extensions I saw I knew I had to learn how to do them. I take great pride in utilizing my talents as an artist and being a perfectionist of my craft to create beautiful extensions that can be varied from so natural no one would be able to tell they were extensions to full on VaVa Voom Glam.
I also have an incredible passion for beautiful skin. There are wonderful ways to improve one's tone, texture and appearance. Even turning back the hands of time by properly implementing the appropriate regimen and treatment options.
I would have to say that my favorite thing about providing eyelash extensions and skin care services is that women's lives change. We are so hard on ourselves and often the first thing we say in our minds when we look in the mirror is negative. Instead as a result of the changes my clients see their first thoughts become positive. They look radiant and beautiful. The first thing they do is smile at themselves in the mirror. What a great gig I have...I look forward to meeting you soon.
